I am Dahye, an accomplished economic scholar who carries a lifelong passion for sharing the intricacies of Korean and Japanese languages. I studied Economics at Keio University and worked for 4 years after graduation in Tokyo. Currently, I'm pursuing my Master's degree in Economics in Paris. My diverse educational and professional experiences uniquely position me to teach these languages in a practical and engaging way.
Throughout my academic journey, I've developed a deep understanding of how people learn, adapt, and evolve. My specialty in development economics, coupled with my expertise in data analytics, has allowed me to develop innovative and data-driven teaching methodologies. I apply this knowledge to my language classes, aiming to make the learning process both efficient and enjoyable.
My experience with teaching dates back to my high school years, and I have been passionately teaching Korean for over five years. During my tenure at Keio University in Tokyo, Japan, I spearheaded a Korean culture and language club. Here, I had the opportunity to teach Korean language, history, and culture to my fellow classmates, enhancing their understanding and appreciation for my homeland.
As your Korean/Japanese tutor, my teaching style emphasizes fluency over accuracy. I focus on real-life dialogues and practical conversations, ensuring that you'll pick up grammar effortlessly and naturally. Rest assured that all the materials you'll need, including textbooks, PPT slides, and exciting clips from K-dramas, K-pop shows, and Japanese movies, will be provided by me.
In addition to teaching, I put a strong emphasis on maintaining your motivation. Learning a language can occasionally feel like hitting a plateau, but we'll regularly have feedback sessions to identify any challenges and strategize how best to overcome them.

안녕하세요! こんにちは！(Hello!) I am Dahye, a native Korean and Japanese speaker currently residing in Paris. It's a joy to meet you, and I'm excited to be your guide in exploring the vibrant languages and cultures of Korea and Japan.
My pedagogical approach is simple: language learning should be fun and practical. Instead of getting lost in endless grammar rules and writing exercises, we'll dive right into engaging, real-world conversations. I'm a firm believer in "learning by doing", and nothing beats picking up grammar naturally while having an exciting chat!
Of course, I understand the importance of review and practice, so expect some homework after each class. Don't worry, I'll make sure it suits your schedule. If you're a busy bee, I'll provide simple but effective exercises. If you've got more time, then brace yourself for a fun and immersive deep dive into the language.
Apart from being a language enthusiast, I bring a mix of experiences to the table. My background in business development at a global IT firm in Tokyo and my ongoing Master's degree in Economics from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne have shaped me into an effective communicator. I've navigated diverse professional and academic environments, which is reflected in my teaching style. I am confident that I can provide a unique perspective and enrich your language-learning journey.
