À propos de Filippo
Hi! I'm Filippo, an Italian-Belgian computer scientist living in Brussels. I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Computer Science from VUB after working for two years as a backend software engineer.
I speak English and Italian fluently, and I also have a good level of French.
What I enjoy most about computer science is understanding how things really work. I've never liked memorizing solutions just to pass an exam. Instead, I prefer to understand the ideas behind them, starting from the basics and building up step by step. That's also how I like to teach. Once you understand the why, solving problems becomes much easier.
Outside of computer science, I enjoy travelling, reading, playing sports and spending time outdoors. I like meeting new people and learning from different cultures, which is one of the reasons I enjoy teaching.
Whether you're preparing for an exam, working on an assignment or simply trying to understand a difficult topic, I'd be happy to help.

My goal is not just to help students solve exercises, but to help them understand the ideas behind them. I want my students to feel more confident and become independent when solving problems on their own.
I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Computer Science from VUB and I have two years of experience working as a backend software engineer. During my studies, I worked with many different programming languages and programming styles. This means I can quickly adapt to the language or technology you are studying.
Every lesson is different because every student is different. At the beginning, we'll identify the topics you find difficult and then work through them together. I like to explain why things work instead of just giving the answer, and I always encourage questions during the lesson.
I can help with programming, algorithms, data structures, software engineering, object-oriented programming, functional programming, databases, introductory computer science and mathematics.
My lessons are for high school students, university students, or anyone who wants to improve their programming skills or build a solid understanding of computer science.
