Really pleased with the progress Timothee made with our son, from starting with no experience on the cello to quickly passing Abrsm Grade 1. A shame the journey couldn't continue together with Timothee returning home. We highly recommend Timothee for providing a solid grounding in the cello's fundamentals, patience, encouragement and building rapport to keep Oscar engaged throughout.

Timothée taught cello to our two sons from 2021 through 2025. They were 6 and 8 when they started playing and they loved working with Timothée over that time. For our 6 year old, it was his first experience learning music, notes and rhythm. Both children have enjoyed learning so much they have both now picked up a second instrument as well. This is very much due to the support and attention from Timothée over the years.

Timothée is an excellent teacher. He taught our daughter for a couple of years and she made great progress during this time. He is very methodical and focused on the right technique so that bad habits do not take hold. He has the right combination of kindness and strictness which worked very well. He also knew how to change tack and allow exercises such as sight reading to become more enjoyable. He is also very patient and knows how to interact with young students.

Timo is a wonderful teacher! The learning environment he created perfectly balanced a sense of supportiveness and accountability - which was exactly what I needed to build the confidence and technique to return to the cello as an adult. He helped me to develop my musicality, build on fundamental skills, discover new repertoire, and rediscover my love of playing. Timo is always extremely professional, communicative, and responsive. I highly recommend him as a cello teacher!

Timothée is an excellent teacher. He is intuitively musical, and always able to spot, explain, and demonstrate technique and musical points clearly.

He has a real talent for inspiring his students to explore the cello and for allowing a student to develop their own independent musical and technical understanding.

En tant qu'adulte, je souhaitais découvrir le violoncelle. J'ai eu le plaisir de prendre des cours avec Timothée et c'était une expérience vraiment très agréable. Timothée a une très bonne pédagogie et est constamment à l'écoute de ses élèves. Il n'a pas hésité à adapter sa méthode d'apprentissage ou à chercher de nouveaux exercices quand il voyait que je peinais avec certaines techniques. Qui plus est, il est quelqu'un de très amical, très sérieux et j'irais même jusqu'à dire poétique dans sa description de la relation à l'instrument. Je le recommande vivement. Merci, Timo.
