Hi, I’m Saloni! I’m a Sciences Po student with a TESOL/TEFL certification. I’ve always loved learning languages! I grew up in five different countries where English wasn’t the main language, so I know firsthand what it’s like to learn and adapt. Back in school, I used to spend break times helping classmates with their English, and that’s where my passion for teaching really started. I believe that language learning should be fun and interactive. I love using games, discussions, and real-life topics to help students feel confident; even if your vocabulary isn’t perfect yet, conversation is a great way to learn. I’m always happy to get to know your interests and use them to make lessons more engaging and motivating. Right now, I’m also learning French (B1 level), so I totally understand the challenges of learning a new language. My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and excited to keep improving!

I hold a TESOL/TEFL certification, scored an 8.5 in the IELTS and 9.0 in IELTS speaking, and I spend my summer working as a teaching assistant at an international school in China. I’ve worked with both older teens and younger students, and I specialize in helping learners feel comfortable and confident, especially when it comes to speaking. I’m also learning French (B1 level), so I truly understand what it’s like to learn a new language, and I bring that patience and empathy into my lessons. I’m always down for a chat and want to create a comfortable environment where you feel confident to learn and speak. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, these lessons are great for high school and university students, or anyone looking to improve their English for school, travel, or work. Initially I really struggled with English. After scoring a 6.5 on a mock IELTS I knew I needed some additional support.
With just 4 months of tutelage she managed bring up that score to an 8.0. She managed to quickly identify my areas of weakness and appropriately address them.
Not too strict, not too easy-going. Would recommend to students trying to improve their test scores and anyone trying to improve their conversational English.Saloni was my English tutor for 3 months. In this relatively short time she helped me a great deal and thanks to her I got a 8.0 in IELTS and received 760 for the English part of my SAT exam. She was very kind and understanding of my circumstances when something unexpected happened, yet still maintained discipline and kept me in check. Now I am studying in a university where English is the main language of education without any difficulties.
