À propos de Giuseppe

Hi, I’m Giuseppe! English isn’t just a language I studied. It’s the language I lived in. I spent 28 years in the USA, where I built my life, my work, and my friendships in American English. That’s why my accent, my expressions, and even my spelling are authentically American, and why I can show you how people really talk, not just how a textbook says they should.

To back that up, I hold a Cambridge C2 certificate, the highest level of the Common European Framework. I understand the grammar, the structure, and the little traps of English from the inside, and I explain them in a clear, practical way. I’m also very comfortable with British English, so I’m happy to point out the differences when they come up.

I’ve also been on the teaching side of the desk. In the USA, I taught first-graders at a private school, which is the best training in patience, clarity, and creativity you can get. If I can keep a room full of six-year-olds excited about learning, I can make adult learners feel relaxed and motivated.

I speak German, Italian, French, Spanish, and Romansh, so I know firsthand what it takes to learn a new language, including the struggle of tackling a Germanic language when you come from a Latin background. I understand the “why on earth do we say it like that?” moments, and I’ll never make you feel silly for having them.

Since I work in the hospitality and gastronomy world, I can also build conversations around restaurant, hotel, and food-and-beverage vocabulary, perfect if you work in the industry or just love talking about food.

You can expect a teacher who is prepared, patient, and respectful of your time and your goals, and who knows that people learn best when they’re enjoying themselves.

Ready to actually speak English, not just study it?

I lived in the USA for 28 years, so my English is American through and through: the accent, the expressions, the spelling, and the everyday slang you won’t find in a textbook. I also hold a Cambridge C2 certificate, so I know exactly how the language works and how to explain it clearly. And of course, I’m very familiar with British English too, so you’ll never be lost in translation.

My approach
I believe you learn to speak by speaking. My classes are built around real conversation, in a relaxed, reality-show kind of atmosphere. We talk about current events, history, art, culture, and anything else that interests the group, and you help choose the topics. Along the way, I gently correct pronunciation and grammar as they come up, and I introduce natural expressions and idioms so you sound like a real person, not a textbook. No red pen, no pressure.

What a typical lesson looks like

Warm-up: a casual check-in so everyone gets comfortable and the English starts flowing.
Main topic: a group conversation or discussion around a theme, an article, a piece of art, a historical story, or something the group suggested.
Language boost: new vocabulary, expressions, and quick corrections from what we just said, explained simply.
Wrap-up: a short recap of what we learned, plus a fun idea to try in your everyday life.
