À propos d'Andressa
At the moment, I have a few private students and my short-term goals teaching them English is empowerment. I care a fair lot about my students, so I wish them to succeed in all of their endeavors involving the language I love to teach. Cassie wants to feel more confident when hosting meetings and Alan wants to travel to meet some foreign friends. No matter what their goals are, I want to be on their corner and give them tools to improve their experiences. In the long run, I want for my students the same English has been giving me for almost two decades now: human connection. English has allowed me to connect with so many wonderful people in the world. Because of English, I’ve had the best experience of my life: an exchange to Canada during college, and the opportunity to work on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean and visit more than 30 countries. These life experiences have made me more tolerant of other cultures and ultimately, it’s made me a better human being. I want everybody to be better and I feel grateful I can help a little with my English teaching skills.

I am the patient teacher who wants to rescue the learners with difficulties, but I am also the energetic teacher who dances with the students. I make my grammar lessons as personal as possible; I elicit as many examples from the students as I can, I give personal and embarrassing examples. I am also an actress, a singer and a songwriter, so my classes are filled with music, dramatization, the coolest games and chants for memorizing tough grammar. Moreover, I am an Affective-Humanistic (1970) teacher at heart, which is the “students’ feelings” teaching approach. I do believe in bonding as a learning tool. I can proudly say that many a time I walked into a classroom or got into a Zoom class full of strangers and in little time, I have managed to transform that environment into a safe and exciting place where the students had freedom to be themselves, to make mistakes and to learn from me and from one another.
