Margherita has been tutoring my daughter in Maths this year while she has been studying the IB, and she has been an excellent support. She was recommended to us by a mutual acquaintance, and we are very glad we followed up on that recommendation. My daughter needed some extra help to keep up with the course, and Margherita quickly identified the areas where she was struggling and explained things in a clear and patient way.

She has also been very flexible and reliable. She came to our home in Paris for weekly in-person lessons, and when my daughter had to travel to London, she seamlessly continued the lessons online, ensuring continuity.

What stands out most is her ability to adapt her teaching to my daughter’s needs and to build her confidence. We have seen a clear improvement, and my daughter now feels much more comfortable with Maths.

Margherita was my maths teacher at CATS College Cambridge a few years ago, when I was studying for my A-levels in Maths and Further Maths. I was really lucky to have her as a teacher. With her help, I improved significantly and eventually gained a place at Cambridge University (she also gave extra classes to prepare us for the Cambridge maths entrance exam, which made a huge difference). I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her support.

I’ve known Margherita for several years, being both PhDs in the same department at the London School of Economics. She has a strong background in both mathematics and philosophy, particularly in areas where the two disciplines interact (logic, probability, statistics methodology).

What really stands out, besides her ceaseless enthusiasm for discussion and analysis of formal and conceptual problems, is her ability to think through problems with precision and clarity.

I think she’s also naturally interested in, and good at, picking up on how someone is reasoning and spotting exactly where things have gone off track. Combined with her ability to explain ideas clearly and engagingly, this makes her a very promising tutor.
