À propos de Gabrielle
I am an experienced teacher with a background in education in France and abroad. I have taught History-Geography and Economics and Social Sciences in secondary schools, as well as private lessons. I also had the opportunity to teach French as a foreign language while working in a French school in Bulgaria.
In Bulgaria, I taught French to children preparing to join a French school at A2 level, as well as to teenagers working towards B1. I really enjoyed helping them gain confidence and, above all, helping them use French to communicate in real situations.
This experience made me want to develop my skills in teaching French as a foreign language. I recently completed the Alliance Française online MOOC “Teaching French as a Foreign Language Today – Discovery Pathway” and received a certificate of completion.
Over the years, I have learned that there is no single way of learning that works for everyone. I therefore try to adapt my teaching to each learner, while giving them the methods and tools they need to make progress and become more independent.
Whether you are learning French for everyday life, work, studies, travel or simply because you would like to feel more comfortable communicating, I will adapt our lessons to your level, your goals and your interests.
Above all, I want you to feel comfortable speaking French. Making mistakes is a natural part of learning a language, and every lesson is an opportunity to learn something new and gain confidence.

I like my lessons to be varied, practical and focused on real communication.
Depending on your level and goals, we work on the four main skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing.
I use a wide variety of materials and topics to make the lessons interesting and relevant to you. We might work with a newspaper article, a video, a song, a website, an advertisement or an everyday document, such as an SNCF brochure.
We usually start by talking about the topic and what you already know about it. We then look at a document together, first focusing on the general meaning and then on specific details. This gives us the opportunity to work naturally on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and useful expressions.
We then put what you have learned into practice. Depending on the activity, you might discuss the topic, give your opinion, describe a situation, complete a practical task or write a short text.
I want every lesson to have a clear and achievable objective, so that you can finish the class knowing what you have learned and what you can now do in French.
The activities are adapted to your level, your interests and your progress. If you would like to practise between lessons, I can also suggest vocabulary, short activities or resources to help you keep learning independently.
My goal is not simply for you to study French, but to feel more comfortable using it in real-life situations and become more confident over time.

Je recommande vraiment Mme Fardel ! J’étais en sport-études avec seulement 3 heures de cours par jour et je n’aimais pas vraiment étudier, donc j’étais assez en retard en SES. Grâce à ses cours en ligne, elle m’a énormément aidé à rattraper mon retard et à préparer mon bac. Elle est très pédagogue, patiente, à l’écoute et sait vraiment s’adapter à son élève. Elle explique les choses simplement et prend le temps de s’assurer qu’on a bien compris. Merci encore pour toute son aide, je la recommande vraiment !
