À propos de Justin
I'm a professional filmmaker based in Brussels, born in New York City, and a graduate of the American Film Institute, with over 25 years of experience working internationally as a writer, director, and producer. I have produced, written and directed award-winning short and feature films with production companies across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. I believe deeply in mentorship and collaboration. Over the years, I've supported emerging filmmakers, writers, and students at different stages of their creative journey—from helping them write their first scripts to launching short films, applying to film schools, or pitching their ideas to producers. My background spans fiction, documentary, and animation. I bring both artistic sensitivity and industry knowledge to my teaching, with a focus on clarity, structure, and emotional depth. I’m here to help you gain confidence, sharpen your tools, and move forward with your creative vision—at your own pace.

As an active filmmaker with experience in writing, directing, and producing international feature films, I offer personalized coaching tailored to each student’s goals—whether you're preparing a short film, developing a screenplay, or navigating the world of independent cinema. My teaching method is based on conversation, collaboration, and practice. I believe that storytelling is a craft that grows with feedback, reflection, and bold choices. A typical session might include reading or reviewing scenes, analyzing professional scripts, working on structure and character arcs, or discussing how to prepare for a pitch or a shoot. I adapt to your needs—whether you're a beginner with a story to tell, a student looking for extra support, or an aspiring filmmaker seeking professional insight. We can explore script development, visual storytelling, directing actors, production strategy, or how to bring your creative vision to life from idea to screen. I offer a safe, inspiring space to take risks, refine your voice, and build confidence in your filmmaking journey.
