My teaching method would depend on your learning method and the subject you need help with.
I am usually very thorough, and would put the same effort in explaining that I put in learning my own material. That being said, I think that when learning is fun, information is retained more easily. I would, therefore, be inclined to have a nice vibe as a basis for learning.
